Laser Therapy

This is one of our most popular and effective treatment tools for many kinds of muscle, tendon or ligament injuries.

Laser therapy is a therapy that uses specifically tuned and concentrated frequencies of light to stimulate healing. Unlike surgical or aesthetic lasers, laser therapy does not cause damage to your tissues. Laser therapy is also sometimes called therapeutic laser, biostimulation, or photobiomodulation.

The Laser light is applied directly to the problem area in need of repair. The tissue then absorbs the light. In a basic sense, this leads to a biological or chemical reaction to the frequencies of red and near infrared light. Damaged cells have a physiological reaction that helps promote their regeneration.

Research shows that the effect of Laser therapy is one of anti-inflammation and muscle relaxation effect. It also increase circulation and improves healing rate of the soft tissue making it ideal to use in sport injuries, muscles spasms, trigger points and any other musculoskeletal areas of increased inflammation .

Differing wavelengths and outputs are used, depending on the purpose of the treatment. There are no know side effects to this type of treatment.
